Drawing lessons begin with quick sketch. 5, 10 & 15 minute sketches enable the student to think quickly and focus on simple shapes, long lines and construction. Once the creative mind adapts to this process, the rendering of form can then be applied.
Painting lessons start with the fundamentals of values, color theory and composition. The "Masters" technique is emphasized and taught with a step by step approach with the guidance of a professional artist.
Landscape painting and drawing begins with quick ideas and small renderings called comps or compositional studies. Gradations, tones and perspective are emphasized. Learn a step by step technique that will have your artwork look like it was done by a Pro!
Art 101 includes: sketching, rendering, painting techniques and mixed media. No matter what the subject, fundamentals are applied and instructor guidance is directed throughout each project.
As early as 6 years of age the artist can start learning how to construct the simple shapes. Now they can draw anything they choose using these shapes. Stick figures, animals, scenery and much more. A time to let their imagination run wild!
Storyboards and Comic book art begin with the idea, perspective and the use of dynamic story telling with a pencil. Sketching is essential and drawing skills should be intermediate. Must show artwork before registering for class. Available only on Fridays 4pm-6pm.
